Omar was my neighbor for many years...Even as a teenage, he was beginning his "DAD JOKE" Comedy skits for when he had his own children... Not a patient man though...I remember the time he try to teach us girls how to play soccer on the block with all the cars on the street. We- Susan, Colleen, Elsa, and I were just frustrating him. Elsa, Susan and I dropped out cause we were tired of him hollering at us... But Colleen stayed in and ended up getting a goal on him. Colleen was a beast and was just as competitive as he was, but how dare she goal him. Yet it didn't count, because he let her score....🤣🤣🤣 Rest Well Omar

Omar was my brother in law for 23yrs. In the earliest part of my relationship with Dan, we spent ALOT of time at Colleen and Omar's house. I was blessed to spent time with them. I watch Colleen cook fish head for Omar and how He loved the over cooked rice at the bottom of the pot. Not my cup of tea but...that was Omar! I watched as the dining room table was replaced for a poker table...that was Omar! But the fondest moment spent with him was at Lori's High School graduation. He smiled from ear to ear. He was so extremely proud to watch his Lori graduate. Then Omar, Lori, Brittany and I went out to eat afterwards. I was so proud to have been able to be a part of such a happy moment in time. To Melissa, Jason, Lori, Shaina and Jared we will never understand why things happen the way that they do, just remember I love you and I know your dad loved you. Aunt Terri

My grand father was not the closest to me. But i can say without a doubt in my mind he loved me. I remember i went to the bar with him and my mom. the moment i stepped in i was on my feet with him pulling me around introducing me to everyone he knew, which was everyone in the bar. I will never forget the huge smile on his face while hugging me and having me shake hands with everyone we came in contact with. My only regret will be him not meeting his first great grand child, Valentina. But she will definitely know of her Abuelito.

I smile when I think of Omar. I remember that I, as well as my cousins, played soccer as kids with Omar being the coach. I was placed as goalie and I hated it lol I wanted to be on the field. I will always remember Omar’s laugh. In my memories he truly was a big kid 🙂 very playful, a trickster, a happy soul. God bless you and keep you Omar
