James J. Leahy
James J. Leahy, age 93, of Mayfair, was called home to the Lord on June 29, 2026. Loving brother of his deceased sisters Sarah Leahy, Mary O’Brien, Anne Wurst and Margaret Guest and survived by nieces and nephews, William (deceased), Kathleen (Kelly) Shea, James (Colleen), Michael (Mai), Maureen (deceased), Maryanne, Theresa (deceased), Andrew (Lee), John (Alice), Dennis (Alice), Thomas (Lori), Vincent, Margaret (Joe) DeShan. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
A devout Catholic, Jim lived his life as a testament to his profound faith, finding strength in prayer and the Holy Eucharist. He was a dedicated parishioner at Saint Matthew Church where he quietly lived out the Gospel through his endless kindness and service to others.
Proud U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean War and retired Shipping Dock worker at the Bond Bread Factory in the Lawncrest section of Northeast Philadelphia. He was dedicated volunteer for the Community Meal Program at Saint Matthew Parish and continued his volunteer activities at the Philadelphia Protestant Home.
Relatives and friends invited to his 10:00AM viewing and 11:00AM Funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Saint Ephrem Catholic Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in James’ memory to either Sacred Heart Parish, Camden, NJ or the Protestant Home (Philadelphia)
