George B. Gunn
George B. Gunn, “Gunner” of Harleysville, Pa, passed away on April 24th, 2026, at age 84.
Preceded in death by his parents, Elva and Hugh; his son, Jamie; and his sister, Louise Yoder (Bud).
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary T.; his sons, Kenneth (Michelle), Richard, and David (Caroline); and his stepdaughters, Kelly Cashman (David), Sherry Domboroczky (Michael), and Lisa Cashman (Martin).
His siblings Barbara Hottenstein (Clarence) Robert (the late Carol) and Carol Kane (the late John)
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley John (Douglas), Brandon, Ryan Toomey (Christine), David, Bria, and Morgan Cashman and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
He proudly served in the United States Army, enlisting on May 27, 1960, and serving honorably until May 18, 1963, attaining the rank of Sergeant (E-5). During his service, he was awarded the Sharpshooter Badge (Pistol .45 Caliber), Expert Badge (Bayonet), and Marksman Badge (M-14 Rifle). He also completed training at the NCO Academy, demonstrating strong leadership and dedication.
Following his military service, he went on to have a dedicated career in management with Sears for over 30 years until its closure. He later found great joy in working as a school bus driver, a role he truly loved. In his free time, he was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and rarely missed a game. He loved fishing and spending time at the Jersey Shore.
Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside service with military honors, on Monday, May 11th at Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Rd. Newtown, Pa 18940. Please arrive at the cemetery by 10:45am and follow the sign that reads “Funeral Processions” The service will begin at 11:00 am precisely.

I will miss Uncle George so very much! He was such a fun guy to be around and his laugh and storytelling was priceless! All the times he would give us kids Some “Iron” as he called it to head down to the Gameroom while camping!! Years later I think he was a genius!!! Get the kids away so the adults can have fun 🤣 I love you Uncle George you taught me to love Philly Sports and may you always rest in eternal Peace. Love Johnny
