Israel Valentin Lopez

Israel Valentin Lopez, a longtime resident of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, at 51. Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of Teresa Lopez and the late Enrique Valentin Vega.

Israel was a loving and dedicated father to his son, Abiel Valentin, who was the center of his life. He will be deeply missed by his many siblings, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, stepfather, aunts, uncles, and his barber shop family. His friend and the mother of his child, Abigail, also mourns his loss.

Israel was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, loved decorating for events and parties, was a talented barber, and was a kind, generous, and spontaneous soul. He lived life fully and will be remembered for his unique personality and adventurous spirit. 

All are invited to Israel’s viewing and service on Friday, December 27th at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19135 (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) from 10:30 am-11:30 am. There will be a words of remembrance service, with eulogies at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any contributions be made to Israel’s son, Abiel, to assist with funeral costs.
