Wayne Barriner was born on September 22, 1955, to the late Georgia Barriner and Freddy Griffin.

During a Quiet Wednesday, an Angel was dispatched to earth to retrieve Wayne to answer an appointment made by God. He graciously accepted and departed this life.

He was one of 10 children. He was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia and was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. He married Sharon Barriner and was still married for many years. He was very hardworking and dedicated to his job for many years. His favorite sports team is the Philadelphia Eagles. He also loved the holidays; Thanksgiving Day was his favorite day. He loves gathering with friends and family at cookouts.

Wayne will be missed by his loving wife, his family, sisters, brothers, aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

God Looked

God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw Wayne’s tired face. He put his arms around him and lifted him to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful; he always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So, he closed Wayne’s weary eyelids and whispered PEACE BE THINE. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

From your wife, Sharon, Rest in Peace
