Thomas Goodwin
Thomas “Tommy” Goodwin, 39, passed away on June 28, 2026.
Born on December 26, 1986, Tommy was the beloved son of Patricia Vaxner and the late Tom Goodwin.
He is survived by his loving mother, Patricia (“Patty”) Vaxner; his stepfather, Anthony Vaxner; his brother, Anthony; his sisters, Patricia, Gabrielle, Alexandra, and Mary Annalise; his brothers from his father’s family, Michael, Christopher, and Matteo Goodwin; his stepsister, Amber; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Tommy was also a loving uncle, a role he treasured. His nieces and nephews brought him great joy, and they will always remember his love, his playful spirit, and the special bond they shared with him.
Tommy had smiling eyes, a playful grin, and a sincere heart. He was quick to listen, bold and true, and possessed a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten a room. Those who truly knew Tommy knew the goodness of his heart. He loved his family deeply, especially his mother, and the bond they shared was one of unconditional love.
Although Tommy faced many difficult struggles throughout his life, those struggles never defined the person he truly was. He remained deeply loved by his family, whose love, prayers, and hope for him never wavered. They will forever remember his kindness, his generosity, and the love he gave so freely to those closest to him.
Raised in the Catholic faith, Tommy received the sacraments of the Church. His family finds comfort in God’s infinite mercy and entrusts Tommy to His loving care. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing and funeal on Friday, July 10th in St. Dominic Catholic Church, 8504 Frankford Ave. You may visit and comfort Tommy’s family from 10:00 am – 11:00 am in the church. There will be a funeral mass starting at 11:00 am. Burial will be held at a later date in Forest Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for prayers for Tommy and for all individuals and families affected by addiction and mental illness.
“Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.”

Im sorry Pattie for you and your family's loss and the Goodwin's loss of your most beloved son Tommy. I mostly knew Tommy when he was a boy. I remember his sweet, sweet voice, freckles, big brown eyes and long lashes. He was always so well behaved and kind. He had a great laugh. The last time we talked was at Moteen's services and we had a lovely talk and I had left with such a good feeling from him. He was very kind and thoughtful. I hope you find solice in knowing your family surrounded him in love throughout his life. He will always be with you, just a breath away. Im sending love and prayers out to you. May God's love help to heal your broken heart.
