Rafael Marrero, a resident of Immaculate Mary Nursing Home, passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 22, 2025, at age 76. He is survived by his children, Johanna Munoz & Rafael Marrero. Devoted grandfather of Andy Gonzalez, Rafael Marrero III, Eliel Marrero, Eliomar Marrero. Also survived by his son in law, Javier Munoz,
daughter in law, Marilyn Martinez, brothers, Santos Marrero, Juan Antonio Marrero sister, Felicita Marrero as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing and funeral on Thursday, May 1st, from 9:30 am – 11:00 am at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. (between Unruh & Knorr sts) There will be a prayer service starting at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in Greenmount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers kindly consider donations in Rafael’s memory to St. Jude’s Children Hospital
My Father in law had always a great story to share he made you feel part of the family even though he just met you!, He welcomed me and gave me his blessing from the beginning, I shall miss him dearly and our bond will always remain. Rest in peace Viejo!
