Maryrose Oprea

Maryrose Oprea (nee Royer), formerly of Mayfair and South Philadelphia, passed away on August 5th, 2026, at age 75. Beloved wife of Daniel Oprea. Loving mother of Gregory Oprea (Dana) and the late Stephen Oprea. Devoted grandmother of Stephen, Jr. and Gregory, Jr. Predeceased by her brother, Bernard Royer. Sadly missed by nieces, nephews and friends. Maryrose will be dearly missed by all who loved her. She especially loved and cherished spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed cooking and being a stylish lady. Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial gathering and funeral on Friday, August 21st from 9:30 am – 11:00 am at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. (between Unruh & Knorr sts) There will be a prayer service starting at 11:00 am. Further arrangements will be held in private by her family. Please omit flowers and kindly consider donations in Maryrose’s memory to Shriners Hospital
