Marie Philomene Clairsaint

Marie Philomene Clairsaint, at 84 years old, passed away peacefully at home on March 6, 2026, at 1 p.m.

She was born on February 6, 1942, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She was the daughter of Telamour Clairsaint and Ortancia Nerette. She married Guillaume Alphonse; together, they had 5 children: Emmanuel Alphonse ( deceased), Harold Alphonse, Maxime Alphonse ( deceased), Marie Carline Alphonse, and Mona Alphonse.

She came to the US and resided with her daughter Carline Fleurencois for 17 years. Cooking was her passion. She enjoyed watching Kitchen Nightmares, 2 and a Half Men, and basketball. The Miami Heat was her favorite team, and LeBron James was her favorite player.

She is survived by her sister Marie Louisina Clairsaint Paul, 3 children: Harold Alphonse, Marie Carline Alphonse Fleurencois, and Mona Alphonse Cayemitte, 11 grandchildren: Gaele, Peter, Monique, Naika, Olguideya, Roody, Ted, Murielle, Carl, Marlon, Jonathan, 3 great-grandchildren: Luna, Layana, and Theodore. Several nieces: Maxo, Josue, Enock, Daniel, Jeanette, Edner, Wagler, Kettely, Mirloune, Wilkens, Yve, Ernest, Guerline, Ronnie, Chrisler, Kerlemps, and Veudel. Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing and funeral on Friday, March 20 from 9-11 am at Ebeneezer Haitian Church. 258 E. Roosevelt Blvd, Phila PA. Burial to follow in Magnolia Cemetery
