Kathryn Mary Tresnan
Kathryn Mary “Kathy” Tresnan
Kathy was the very definition of happiness and family. To know her was to know acceptance. She was peaceful and considerate to a fault. She would do anything within her power for anyone. She was the best of us, a sentiment shared by all who knew her. The only thing she ever hated, as she used the word very sparingly, was work: she loved her co-workers but hated work. She was finally getting to enjoy her retirement after over forty dedicated years. She also loved animals, both hers and ones she’d never met, and was forever trying to donate to dogs of all kinds. She loved her Philadelphia Phillies (who better have a good season or she will be forever haunting them, especially her favorite, Alec Bohm). She loved her music, from Toby Keith to Alice Cooper, and so much in between. Most of all, she loved her family. She will be so very missed by all who had the good fortune to have met her.
Kathy is survived by her husband, William, her sons, Will (Ronnie), Brian (Grace) and Daniel, her daughter, Megan (Jack), her grandchildren, Aaron and Elysia, her brothers, Mike (Patti) and Roy (Denise), her sister Donna (Rich), as well as all her nieces and nephews, Trina, Keith (Kelly), Mike (Angela), Sean (Morgan), Jimmy (Lizzie), Chris, Michelle (Keith), Christina (Mike), Brianna and Savanna.
Kathy is predeceased by her mother, Maryann Fisher, grandmother Kathryn West, and Aunt Sally Andrews.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing and funeral on Thursday, January 29, at Christ the King Church (3252 Chesterfield Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19114). You may visit and comfort Kathryn’s family from 9:30-10:30 am in the church. There will be a funeral mass starting at 10:30 am. Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any animal-affiliated organization of your choosing.

My heart and soul goes out to the family. Kathy, such a vibrant, determined, witty, and lovely woman. I got the pleasure to get to know her and her husband through my work. They loved coming for breakfast. She always knew what she wanted right away. Always excited for the Phillies season and ready to talk for as long as she could about the Phillies. And poke fun with me about Bill. I knew how much she was looking forward to for retirement and the last time I saw her, she retired!! She was so so so happy. What a beautiful humble and warm soul. My thoughts, prayers, love, and all combined be with her, the family, and friends.

I always said you were a gift of a person and an angel of a mother in law, but I never dreamed you’d take those words seriously. Especially not this soon. You never let anyone or anything get you down. You lit up a room with the way you smiled, cried out a name, and greeted everyone with an open heart and open arms. If I’m able to reflect just a percentage of the light you put into our lives, make someone’s day better, or bring joy in the way you did, I’d consider myself lucky. Every soft serve ice cream I’ll get will be for you now, so know that they’ll be more often. I hope you’re with your mom talking sports and keeping us safe, or at the very least you’ve found a whole pack of puppies to cuddle up with and you’re wearing the coziest, comfiest outfit. When we meet again I’ll have to ask how any of this made any kind of sense. I’ll do my best to take care of them, but Kathy I hope you know that we all miss you more than you could imagine. May the road rise up to meet you, and may the wind be at your back.

Dear Bill and Family
I have only known Kathy for a few years, but I have always enjoyed being in her company. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May your memories bring peace.
We wanted to share our condolences to all who knew and loved Kathy. May she rest in eternal peace. Our love from Nebraska.
As it has pleased the Lord to gather Kathy to Himself, may He also shower her family with every consolation and grace at this time of unexpected loss.
Kathy was the kindest most genuine person you could ever meet. She treated everybody like a friend, and that smile could light up a room. I will miss meeting Kathy with her husband for breakfast to catch up and going to the Ashburner to see her brother Roy play. She always had a smile and some funny comment to make you laugh. More than anything Kathy loved her family and they enjoyed a really special bond. I was privileged to get to hang out with them at different times and they all adored Kathy. She had that goodness about her you don’t see so much in the world. Losing her bright light is gonna be tough.
Sending prayers to Kathy’s family, Bill, Danny, Grace and Brian, Meghan and Jack, and her siblings, nieces, nephews.
