In loving memory of Joseph Rodriguez, “Gego”. The entire Rodriguez and Camejo families, along with all who loved him, mourn the loss of a truly remarkable man, Joseph Rodriguez, who passed away on September 11 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Joseph, aka Gego was one of a kind – a genuine peacemaker with a gift for bringing smiles and laughter to every gathering.
He was more than a son, uncle, brother, father, brother-in-law, and Pop-Pop – he was the best of all those roles. Our lives are forever enriched for having known him. The love he shared and the memories we created with him will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Survived by his loving Rodriguez and Camejo families as well as a wide circle of friends who became family.
Family and friends are invited to gather, remember and celebrate Gego’s life at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. (between Unruh & Knorr sts) You may visit and comfort Gego’s family during the viewing on Thursday evening from 5pm – 7pm There will be another viewing on Friday mornig from 9:30am – 11:00am. A prayer service will held at 11am. Gego will be laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery. Please omit flowers and kindly consider donations in Gego’s memory to Colon Cancer Foundation -New York State

My cousin Joseph aka GEGO was a beautiful soul he was a unselfish caring and loving man he help me when I was getting back on my feet I appreciate him for who he was and love him for being in my life since we were kids I got the blessing to see him during his last days he is the true definition of a fighter he fought to the end I admire him for his courage and the will to never give up I will for ever have you in my memories and in my heart love you king rest easy .

My uncle was an extraordinary man, a man of true integrity and humility. He always opened his home to us and made us feel at home. From family gatherings, rap battles, and karaoke nights, a good time was always had at Gego’s house. The advice you gave me while I was growing up, I will cherish forever. The laughter and love you showed us will never be forgotten. My only uncle that always called me his beautiful niece 💔 It was a privilege to have known you. You will be deeply missed. I love you, tio, always and forever 🕊️

Our hearts are shattered as we mourn the loss of our beloved Gego. Amparo, Paul, and Michael cannot put into words the depth of our grief. Gego was more than just our nephew and cousin he was a light in our lives, someone whose laughter, warmth, and presence made every moment brighter.
We will forever remember his kindness, his smile, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. Though our time with him feels far too short, the love and memories he gave us will live in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

My brother Gego was an amazing person. He taught us that human life was precious and family is everything. I cherish the time and amazing memories we have. To everyone he is known as my cousin but to me and my family he and his siblings are considered my brothers and sisters. His legacy and our memories will forever live in my heart. The world lost an amazing man and my family lost a beautiful caring brother.
