John Edward Olah

John Edward Olah, 91, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026. He was a retired Philadelphia firefighter and a United States Army veteran.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Carole (Rusden) , and his grandson, Ryan Edward.

He is survived by his children, Edward (Terry), Sharon (Pete), and Donald; his cherished grandchildren, Lisa, Sean (Amy), and Taylor (Jared); and his great-grandson, David Grebloski, Jr.

He was a kind, compassionate man whose warm heart touched everyone he met. He loved and cared for many throughout his life and, in return, was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in John’s memory.

You’re Dad was fun to work with at Acme I remember when he painted Dominic‘s work desk polkadots like glue and gold and even his work boots and I think Tim Hayes saw it and I think he had your father had a repainted again Bob shakes Bob those were the good days when it came time to work we worked hard t had fun with all the maintenance guys
