Francis J. Pietrolungo

Francis John Pietrolungo Jr. (“Frank”), born September 22, 1961, in Philadelphia, PA, passed away suddenly on May 16, 2026. He was the youngest son of the late Francis J.and Anne Pietrolungo (nee Granato). He was the beloved  brother of James Himes, the late Kathleen Mang (nee Himes), and Joseph Pietrolungo (Geri); husband to Barbara (nee Chest); loving father of the late Francis John (“Frankie”) and Elyse Pietrolungo; and beloved grandfather of Jayden, Julian, and Serenity. He was also loved by many nieces and nephews. Frank grew up in Woodbury Heights, NJ, and was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School. In his younger years, Frank enjoyed lifting weights, cruising on his motorcycle, and summers at the beach. Frank enjoyed several careers including asbestos removal, truck driving, and cooking. He spent most of his career as a truck driver, a job he enjoyed because he spent time on the open road listening to music. Frank also worked for Pizza City in Woodbury Heights for several years, where he was known for making the best panzarottis around.
Frank always loved music, especially Top 40, the Boss, classic rock, and funk music. He coined the phrase & quote; It’s all in the MIX,” which became his life’s mantra. But above all, Frank loved his family. He was loyal, big-hearted, and protective. His grandchildren were the light of his life and brought him joy every day. His children, Frankie and Elyse were always the center of his world. He is sailing away on the ocean of their love. Frank had a special bond with his sister, Kathleen, who passed away only six days after her beloved baby brother. Together, they returned home. Frank was loved by many and will be missed by all. God bless his soul
