Francis T. Dolan

Francis (Fran) T. Dolan, a beloved brother , brother-in-law, stepfather and friend, passed away on February 14, 2025 surrounded by family members.  A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Fran was known for his deep love of family, passion for sport and telling a good joke.

Fran was the beloved brother to his sister, Mary Enright, and his brothers Joseph Dolan and the late Timothy Dolan, brother-in-law to Denise Dolan, Diane Dolan and John Enright and uncle to five nieces and nephews.  Through marriage to his late wife, Rae Ann, Fran also forged a special bond with her four adult daughters and their families.

A graduate of Lasalle Nursing School, Fran enjoyed a long career as a registered nurse at several hospitals and medical care facilities in the greater Philadelphia area.  An affable and engaging conversationalist, Fran especially enjoyed discussing medical issues and topics, displaying an impressive depth of knowledge.

For recreation, Fran made good use of his natural athletic abilities as an expert level skier and scratch golfer, and, having spent his summers in Sea Isle and Wildwood, New Jersey, had a great passion for boating and fishing.  He was also an enthusiastic sports fan, especially “The Eagles”, whose recent Super Bowl victory brought him much joy in his final days.

His absence will be sorely felt by all whose lives he touched.  Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, February 24th, 2025 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Avenue Philadelphia PA 19115 , to be followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers , a donation to Sisters, Servants of IHM, Camilla Hall, 100 Maxis Drive, Malvern, PA 19355” would be greatly appreciated.
