I remember Ed would rehearse the scout camping trips with people from his national guard group. He asked me if I wanted to go I said sure. I asked when we were going and he said the middle of January, we had a great time. My thoughts and prayers to Ed and his loved ones.

Sadness fills our hearts for your loss but comfort helps us to understand that God needed Ed with him most. A loving son, devoted husband, father, pop pop, brother. If you were lucky to know him he was like no other. Find rest n peace with our father above and continue to watch over the ones you love.

My heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Simpson family. I'm so sad to hear about Ed's passing. Ed and I had serve in the same unit in S-3, HHD 154th Transportation Battalion PAARNG. Ed was quite a guy, he was quite a leader, and he had a great sense of humor. Whenever I come to drill, I would always get a laugh from him. No matter how things were going on in the unit, in terms of training, and our mission, Ed was always there to cheer things up. Whether the training was good or bad. May God Bless his family during this difficult time.
