McKenna, Christopher J. “Moose”
Christopher J. McKenna “Moose,” of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026. He
was 63 years old.
Chris was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Class of 1981. After high school, Chris went on to work for BG Morrissey Trucking, Inc. before beginning a career in the rental car business, serving in a district and regional manager role for many years. More recently, Chris was a “jack of all trades” and enjoyed forming relationships with anyone that had the pleasure of working alongside him.
Chris had a smile that would light up any room he walked into. He had a laugh that was distinguishable and infectious. Chris was a beloved son, brother, uncle; and a loyal friend.
Chris is preceded in death by his loving parents, Joseph and Margaret (nee Mills) McKenna; his brothers, Joseph and Matthew. Chris is survived by his siblings, Daniel McKenna, Kieran (Gloria) McKenna, Laura (Bill) Mullen, Rosemary “Mimi” (Patrick) Gault, Megan (Kolleen) McKenna; his nieces and nephews that he adored and of whom he was very proud, Kieran (Cierra) McKenna, Erica Jean McKenna, Liam (Kristin) Mullen, Sean (Gina) Mullen, Erin (Andrew) Kanoff, Anthony Gault, Adam Gault, Matthew (Lisa) Czarnick, Harry (Karilynn) Czarnick, Ed (Krysten) Pierce. He is also survived by his great
nieces and nephews, several extended family members and lifelong friends.
Chris’ family will carry his love and laughter with them. He will be missed beyond words and
remembered with love.

A memorial service for Christopher will be held on Wednesday October 14th, 2026 at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. (between Unruh & Knorr sts) You may visit and comfort Christopher’s family from 9:30 am-11:00 am in the funeral home. There will be a prayer service starting at 11:00 am. Further arrangements will be held at the convenience of his family.
