Charles M. Saunders, of the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, passed away on September 22, 2026, at age 78. Beloved husband of Barbara Saunders (nee Bihler). Loving father of Melissa LaCroce (Saverio). Devoted grandfather of Juliano, Colette and Claudia. Predeceased by one stepson, Kevin J. Menefee. Charles served our country honorably in the Vietnam War (US Navy), receiving at Purple Heart. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation and funeral on Friday, October 2nd from 9:30am – 10:30 an in St. Bernard RC Church (7341 Cottage St. Philadelphia, Pa 19136) There will be a funeral mass starting at 10:30am with burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
