Bill Pelosi
Bill Pelosi, of Yardley Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on August 19, 2026, at age 67.
Devoted husband of Peggy. Loving father of Billy, Oliver and Bridget.
Greatly loved by his sisters-in-law, Patricia-Jean and Catharina, brothers-in-law, Patrick and Peter. Sadley missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Dorthy and Philipe and his cherished brother Robert.
Bill grew up in Point Pleasant NJ, where he enjoyed being at the beach, visiting Hoffman’s for a scoop of butter pecan ice cream and caring for any injured creature he came across, which would frequently become another pet of his.
Bill’s first job after college was with IBM. This is where his love for technology started and stuck with him throughout his life. His children fondly remember him building his own computers and could always go to him for all tech-related questions.
Bill continued his education and graduated with a Doctorate in law from the University of Michigan, after which he became the managing partner at a law firm in Cherry Hill New Jersey. Throughout his career as a lawyer colleagues commented on his kindness, attention to detail, and calm demeanor.
Bill had many interests and hobbies throughout his life including gardening, poker (only with 25 cent buy-ins), bike riding, bible study, mixology (just for Peggy), cooking, going on Boy Scout camping trips with his sons, Chamber of Commerce, Bristol Riverside Theater, and attending karate classes with his sons when they were in grade school.
Bill was always patient and empathetic. If you were stressed, he could always be relied on to calm you down with his level-headed approach. He would logically walk you through how to resolve your problem without feeding into any negativity. Bill always had time for people to approach him and discuss what they were feeling. He loved history and science and would enthusiastically fill you in on the latest facts he learned.
Bill’s kindness was not limited to friends and family; he had compassion towards complete strangers as well. Bill’s final act was to help three other people through the gift of organ donation.
Bill’s presence will be deeply missed, our love for him will be never ending.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Saturday, August 29th, at 12:30 PM at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, 999 Reading Ave, Yardley, Pennsylvania 19067.
Dearest Peggy, Billy, Oliver, and Bridget – I just came out of mass (at St. John’s) and ran into Bridget Melanson who shared this tragic news. I had no idea and I’m so very sorry that I didn’t know as I would’ve loved to have been there for all of you. It was with great saddness that I learned of Bill's passing. The family I so admire has lost a kind, friendly, unassuming gentleman. My prayers and condolences go out to his wonderful wife, Peggy, and his three children.
Bill was a former partner of mine at Litchfield Cavo. I was in the Illinois office. Whenever we would have national partners' meetings Bill was one of the first of my partners from out of state I would seek out. Even though we only saw each other once a year, his company was always so enjoyable. He was such a kind and warm person. Sending my deepest condolences to all who knew and loved him.
Peggy, Billy, Oliver, and Bridget, I am so sorry for your loss. I have wonderful memories of Bill, who was always kind, curious, present, and warm. Your tribute to him is one of a life well-lived and full of love. Holding you in my heart as you grieve him.
Bill was in the office next door at one of our former law firms. I will always recall that he was the first person I knew with a Blackberry! I also remember his shelf of presidential biographies, and him standing up for John Adams before it became fashionable. 🙂 Bill was a good lawyer and a better person. He was always kind and generous, and he had grit. I am truly sorry to hear that he passed.
I sat at two tables with Bill over the past maybe 25 years. The poker table and the small group Bible study table. He approached both groups with incredible thought and attention to detail. He was a deep thinker. I always liked that about him. Sometimes he had to explain his thoughts to me in English but he did that with grace. I went to Drew University with Bill but he was a year ahead and we didn't meet. We had the same double major. He of course was Cum Laude. I was not. I will so very miss his kind heart and wonderful spirit. The world is a better place for having Bill in it.
I will miss you Bill tremendously. You were a beautiful, kind and gentle giant. I’ve cherished all of the poker nights we had over the last 15 or more years and hope you are right now playing cards, “pass the trash” in heaven with Chuck Ellis and Rich Law on a white fluffy cloud. You will be sorely missed! My deep condolences to the Pelosi family.
Bill took (legitimately) more than a few quarters from the poker table. All in fun and friendship (not serious gambling) Godspeed Bill SWentworth

I have the fondest memories of Bill cooking for me (or offering his newest mixology creation) when I would stop by for a visit with Peggy and Bridget to plan upcoming scouting projects . He was always in the kitchen or garden when at home and was a gracious host. He was so kind and educated- he loved talking about science, tech, and cooking. I’m so sorry Pelosi family for your loss- it will be hard to fill the void he left behind. He had a deep faith. He will be so missed by all who knew him. Much love to you all.
