Andreas Dambach “Andy”

Andreas “Andy” Dambach, born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and formerly of Collingswood, NJ, sadly passed away, on July 24, 2025, at the age of 74.

Son of the late Andreas and Catherine Dambach. Loving husband of the late Rhinehardt Heuer. Beloved brother of Catherine Martin (Robert), Roseanne Goley (the late Robert), and Mitchell Dambach (Jacklyn). Andy is also survived by his many cherished nieces and nephews, as well as their great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.

Andy was known for his warmth, generosity, and his incredible gift for making everyone feel like a friend. He had a way of connecting with people. He knew everyone, and everyone knew him. A great storyteller, Andy brought laughter and joy wherever he went.

He spent over 25 years working at Di Bruno Bros. Gourmet Store, where he became a familiar and beloved face. He was a lover of music, a fantastic dancer, and he had a magical green thumb; his talent for nurturing plants was truly something special.

All are invited to Andy’s viewing and funeral service on Tuesday, July 29th at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc., 6711 Frankford Ave, Phila., PA 19135 (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) from 9:30 am- 10:30 am. There will be a prayer service in the funeral home at 10:30 am. Please omit flowers, donate in Andy’s memory to Catholic Charities USA.
