John L. Binkley

John L. Binkley (Broadway Bink), age 74, passed away on August 22, 2024. Survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary (Iovino). John was a professional musician, loved jazz and was an original Miami Horn member of Bruce Springsteen E Street Band. He will be missed by all of his buddies at Holmesburg Fish & Game, Delaware Valley Field & Stream and Conestoga. Services will be held in private by his family. Mary Connaire

Mary E. Connaire (nee Slater) of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, at the age of 86. Mary spent a dedicated career as a Benefits Administrator for the City Courts of Philadelphia, retiring in 2002. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed her time serving as lector and Eucharistic minister at St. Christopher’s Church in Philadelphia. She was also deeply devoted to the Franciscan ministry. She is predeceased by her son, Thomas Connaire, her brother “Pete,” and sisters, Theresa and Helene. She is survived by her brother, Harry Slater (Maryanne), her daughters, Marianne Unger (Dwight) and Catherine McLaughlin (William), six grandchildren-- Christina, Dwight Jr., Colleen, Kelly, Kristen, and Kaitlyn-- and four great grandchildren-- Caroline, Camilla, Vinnie, and Josie-- along with many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19135 (between Unruh & Knorr sts) from 10:30 am and 12:00 pm. There will be a prayer service starting at 12 pm. Private interment will be held at a later date by her family.

Isabel M. McHugh

Isabel M. McHugh (nee Webb), of Philadelphia, PA, sadly passed away after a brief illness, on August 23, 2024, at the age of 94. Devoted wife of the late William H. Sr. Devoted mother of William H. Jr., Michael P. (the late Melody), Elaine (Francis) and Maureen P. (Mike). Loving mom-mom of William H. III (Stacey), Joanne I. (Mike), Michael P. Jr. (Jennifer), Matthew J. (Mikayla), as well as the late Jessica E., and the late Francis X. Jr. Great-grandmother of 7. All are invited to Isabel's viewing and funeral on Thursday, August 29th at St. Timothy R.C. Church (3001 Levick St. Phila., PA 19149) between 9:30 am- 10:30 am. There will be a funeral mass at 10:30 am. Burial to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, mass cards are preferred or kindly consider donations in Isabel's memory to St. Timothy Church

Adam Paul Scher

Adam Paul Scher, of Philadelphia, PA, sadly passed away on August 12, 2024 at age 52. Beloved son of Dayle Scher and the late Joel Scher. Loving brother of Brandon Scher (Samantha). Cherished uncle of Sydney, Jeremy, and the late Leo Scher. Nephew of Aunt Mona Peterman (the late Edward) and the late Uncle Stanley Jentis. A private interment will be held at King David Memorial Park at a later date, by his family.
