Kathryn Mary Tresnan

Kathryn Mary “Kathy” Tresnan

Kathy was the very definition of happiness and family. To know her was to know acceptance. She was peaceful and considerate to a fault. She would do anything within her power for anyone. She was the best of us, a sentiment shared by all who knew her. The only thing she ever hated, as she used the word very sparingly, was work: she loved her co-workers but hated work. She was finally getting to enjoy her retirement after over forty dedicated years. She also loved animals, both hers and ones she’d never met, and was forever trying to donate to dogs of all kinds. She loved her Philadelphia Phillies (who better have a good season or she will be forever haunting them, especially her favorite, Alec Bohm). She loved her music, from Toby Keith to Alice Cooper, and so much in between. Most of all, she loved her family. She will be so very missed by all who had the good fortune to have met her.

Kathy is survived by her husband, William, her sons, Will (Ronnie), Brian (Grace) and Daniel, her daughter, Megan (Jack), her grandchildren, Aaron and Elysia, her brothers, Mike (Patti) and Roy (Denise), her sister Donna (Rich), as well as all her nieces and nephews, Trina, Keith (Kelly), Mike (Angela), Sean (Morgan), Jimmy (Lizzie), Chris, Michelle (Keith), Christina (Mike), Brianna and Savanna.

Kathy is predeceased by her mother, Maryann Fisher, grandmother Kathryn West, and Aunt Sally Andrews.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing and funeral on Thursday, January 29, at Christ the King Church (3252 Chesterfield Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19114). You may visit and comfort Kathryn’s family from 9:30-10:30 am in the church.  There will be a funeral mass starting at 10:30 am. Burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any animal-affiliated organization of your choosing.

Bill and family- I am so sorry for your loss. Kathy was the best of the best. We had such good times in work and after work, and she always provided us with great laughs. I know she is with her Mom and Gram. You will be forever loved and missed 💕💕

I always said you were a gift of a person and an angel of a mother in law, but I never dreamed you’d take those words seriously. Especially not this soon. You never let anyone or anything get you down. You lit up a room with the way you smiled, cried out a name, and greeted everyone with an open heart and open arms. If I’m able to reflect just a percentage of the light you put into our lives, make someone’s day better, or bring joy in the way you did, I’d consider myself lucky. Every soft serve ice cream I’ll get will be for you now, so know that they’ll be more often. I hope you’re with your mom talking sports and keeping us safe, or at the very least you’ve found a whole pack of puppies to cuddle up with and you’re wearing the coziest, comfiest outfit. When we meet again I’ll have to ask how any of this made any kind of sense. I’ll do my best to take care of them, but Kathy I hope you know that we all miss you more than you could imagine. May the road rise up to meet you, and may the wind be at your back.
