Stephen Simpson, of the Tacony section of Philadelphia, passed away on June 3, 2023, at age 69. Superintendent of Magnolia Cemetery where he worked for 55 years. Beloved husband of Dawn Simpson (nee Sumner). Loving father of Christina Bateman (Todd), Stephen Simpson, Jr. (Brynne), Alexandria Mavin (Ryan) and Timothy Cerasi (Crystal). Also survived by many loving grandchildren. Son of Dorothy Simpson (the late Norman). Brother of Linda Bader (Ray), Kathy Kruger (Kenny) and David Simpson (Christina). Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation and funeral on Monday June 12, from 9:30 am – 11:00 am at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. (between Unruh & Knorr sts) There will be a eulogy service at 11:00am. Further arrangements will be held in private by his family.
