She attended primary school at Dagueso Lespinash and secondary school at Catz Pressoir. She came to the United States in October 15, 1993, where she lived in Philadelphia with her brother, Dieucel and sister-in-law, Mireille. Sourette worked at Jet Plastica for almost 10 years and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant. In August 2005, she began working at Bright A Leaf and remained a dedicated and hard working employee for 18 years. She loved her patients and was always friendly and helpful with her coworkers.
Soeurette was well known for her love of cooking! She was excellent at cooking legumes, poule du, fish and du riz a djon djon. Spending time with her family and watching the 76ers were her favorite past times. She was an avid 76ers fan. She accepted Christ, as her Lord and Savior in May 2022 and enjoyed attending church services. Soeurette, was a calm spirited, compassionate, patient, gentle, and wise person. She was always there for everyone and willing to help share anyone’s load. Her laugh was infectious, and her smile was radiant. She was the Matriarch of the family, a true confidant and friend.
After a year long battle with cancer, she gained her heavenly wings on March 26, 2023 at the age of 61. She is survived by her son, Sebastian, her surrogate son Christian, four brothers, Dieucel (Mireille), Jean- Marie, Louigens (Riveda), Gerino (Yolette) and is preceded in death by her fifth brother Sergo.
