Robert John Dougherty from Drexel Hill passed away on December 3, 2023 from a long courageous battle against cancer. He was 65.Even though cancer took him from this world, his family has taken comfort in the thought that he was greeted by his dearly departed mother, Rosalie Ruggieri, to bring him home.
Bob is survived by his loving brother, Boyd Dougherty Sr. and wife Joan Dougherty. He was the proud uncle of Boyd Jr. and Troy Dougherty. Bob was also loved and cherished by his longtime companion, Alicia Boza.
Bob’s cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed by all who knew him. Bob was well known by his family and friends for his talented drum and bongo skills. He played locally often and always enjoyed bringing the joy of music to all audiences.
Plans for a prayer service for Robert are pending; further information will be forth coming.
