Robert J. Auman, age 77, passed away on August 26, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Retired Philadelphia Police Officer who served our city for 31 years, who then worked for the Pennsylvania State Capitol Police for 10 years. Robert was originally from the Fairmount section, attending Bishop Neumann HS, class of 1963. After high school Robert then enlisted in the US Army and served our country, honorably. Beloved husband of Mary Ellen (nee Jacobson). Loving father of Robert Auman, Jr. (Colleen) Brother of the late Helen “Honey” Sponburgh and Teresa Watson. Brother-in-law of Michael Jacobson (Cheryl). Son of the late Jennie and Robert Auman. Sadly missed by many cousins and close friends. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing and funeral on Thursday September 7, from 9:30 – 10:45am in Our Lady of Calvary RC Church, 11024 Knights Rd. Philadelphia, PA 19154. There will be a funeral mass at 11:00am with burial to follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
