Raymond Gardner

Raymond Gardner (Ray) from Ardsley Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly in the early morning of Nov 2nd, 2022, at the age of 78. He was the son of the late Mildred and Arthur Gardner and brother of the late Arthur Lincoln Gardner Jr. He was the beloved husband of Maryann Gardner, loving father of Jennifer Gardner Lavin (Joseph Lavin), Elizabeth Gardner, grandfather of  Josh Gardner. Raymond is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends.

Ray was a big guy with an even bigger heart. He was always lending a helping hand to anyone who needed his help, friends and strangers alike. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson. He also loved nature and animals. He enjoyed taking long walks with his dog and holding his cat in his lap. Each summer he could be found swimming in the public pool or fishing and reading a good book on the beach in Cape May. He was an avid rockhound and loved classic cars and trains. He is deeply loved by his family and community, and he will be greatly missed by many. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing and funeral on Friday, November 11, from 9:30am 10:30am in Queen of Peace RC Church, 820 North Hills Ave. Glenside, Pa 19038. There will be a funeral mass at 10:30am with burial to follow in Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in Ray’s memory to Queen of Peace Church at the address listed above.
