Nelsa Rosa Wilson, Nelsa passed away peacefully at her home on August 13th, 2023, at the age of 67. She was born on August 8th, 1956, to Enoelia Morales & Ramon Rosa. Nelsa was a kind and caring woman, who gave the best hugs and always had time for people, no matter what was going on in her day. She would welcome you in, and give you a nice home cook meal. Whether it was a quick chat or an all-day meet up, you always felt loved after spending time with Nelsa.
Growing up, Nelsa was the eldest of five children. Nelsa became a motherly figure to her younger siblings: Maria, James, David, Joey and Ramon but deep down she was the wild child. She enjoyed life. She loved dancing and making others smile.
Nelsa lived her early years between Philadelphia and Puerto Rico before finally settling down in Philadelphia. She always stayed close to her mother and siblings. She enjoyed cooking with her mother, Enoelia, and when she became a mother she loved taking care of her kids, Janet and Steven. In 1992 Nelsa met and fell in love with Michael Wilson and they were married in 2003. They expanded their family by bringing into their lives two amazing children, Amy and Jesse. They had lots of fun adventures. Nelsa took pride in raising her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Nelsa brought such a like into the family. Her heart was pure and she was so genuine in her thoughts and actions. She wanted the best for her kids. She so loved telling anyone she met about them. She was proud of them and of her grandkids. She enjoyed the days where she would watch the grandkids. Their smiles would make her heart so full.
Kindness for others was a character trait of Nelsa’s that shone through in her daily life and was particularly evident in her role as an usher at Primera Iglesia Cristiana Misionera. Whoever came through the door was welcomed with genuine love and respect and Nelsa would happily be a listening ear and helping hand whenever she was needed.
Nelsa also had a great sense of humor and always made life light-hearted. Nelsa was the life and soul of the party and she and Michael enjoyed hosting many parties for their friends and family. Nelsa loved to cook for the family. She loved having her house full of the people she loved just so that she can hear them laugh and make memories that she cherished.
Nelsa was preceded in death by her brothers David and James, her father, Ramon, and her mother Enoelia and is survived by her husband Michael, her daughters Janet and Amy, her sons Steven and Jesse, her brother Joey, sister Maria, multiple nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nelsa will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and the love she shared will continue to live on in our memories forever.

There will be a prayer service in the funeral home at 12:30PM.
