Michael Carmen Ditro

Michael Carmen Ditro, 79, of Medford, New Jersey, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away at his home on May 11th, 2022. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael J Ditro, mother, Myrtel Bishop Simoes, and sister Diana Hamill. He is survived by his loving companion, Glenda A. Selby and her immediate family, Wm. Shane and Carrie Selby of Little Mountain, S.C., Jeffery S. Selby and Sarah Schatzinger of Mt. Laurel, N.J., his grandchildren, Tyler, James and Tessa, his brother Sam Ditro, nephew Michael A. Ditro and his niece, Molly Sauer of Philadelphia. Michael was the owner of a Soft Pretzel Bakery in Philadelphia for over 40 years.  He will be remembered, missed and loved by family and friends for his colorful and vivacious personality.  A selfless and respected man who helped so many young men on their life’s journey. All are invited to gather, remember and celebrate Michael’s life on Friday May 20th at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19135 (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) You may visit and comfort Michael’s family during his viewing from 9:30AM-11:00AM. There will be a prayer service in the funeral home at 11:00AM.
