Mary Ries (nee Moran), originally from the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, passed away on August 20th, 2025, at age 102. Beloved wife of the late Rudolph Ries. Loving mother of Patricia Moore (Joe), Janice Romano (the late Rich) and Nancy Tobin (Frank). Also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Colleen, Frankie, Christina and Richie, sadly missed by eleven great grandchildren. Predeceased by one brother and two sisters. Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial gathering and funeral mass on Tuesday, August 26th in St. Jerome Catholic Church (Colfax & Stamford Sts) You may visit and comfort Mary’s family from 9:00 am – 10:00 am in church. There will be a funeral mass at 10:00 am. Further arrangements will be held in private by her family. Please omit of flowers and kindly consider donations in Mary’s memory to Convent of Divine Love, 2212 Green St. Phila., Pa 19130

Mary was my sister Cathy’s roommate at the nursing home before she passed. She was the kindest person & her family was lovely. My husband Dave & I send our deepest condolences.
