Maria M. Vega

Maria M. Vega, of the Olney section of Philadelphia, sadly passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Jose R. Vega. Loving mother of Peter Pena and Mike Vega (Judy). Cherished abuelita of Lilly Vega. Loving sister of Carlos, Tony, Junior, Lydia and Matilda. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Maria was a longtime member of Zion Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed going to the hair salon and she was there every single Friday, without fail. Her family will remember her as a caring, loving, good person and mother. She will be missed by all who loved her. All are invited to gather, remember and celebrate Maria’s life on Wednesday January 18th at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19135 (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) You may visit and comfort Maria’s family during her viewing from 9:30AM-11:00AM. There will be a prayer service in the funeral home at 11:00AM. Burial to follow in Lawnview Cemetery.
