Maria was born on September 4, 1935 in Cayey, Puerto Rico. She lived there for many years before moving to the Bronx and eventually making her way to Philadelphia.
Maria was a successful businesswoman who was well-known throughout the entire Latino community. She was an excellent domino player and a wonderful salsa dancer.
Survived by her son Joseph Delgado, daughter-in-law Elba Delgado, granddaughter Josie Delgado, and great-grandchildren Elias and Xavier.
