With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Margaretta McNelis on December 24, 2023. Born to Margaretta and Robert Lawler on September 9, 1943, Margaretta’s 80-year journey was marked by an unwavering devotion to her family, which stood as the cornerstone of her life.

Predeceased by her parents, her sister Maureen Dillon, and her daughter Megan Vecchione, Margaretta’s memory will be forever cherished not only by her sister Marguerite Foley, her brother Tommy Coyle, and her son Michael McNelis, but also by her beloved grandchildren Corinne Vecchione, Steven Vecchione, Violet McNelis, and Emma McNelis. Furthermore, the legacy of Margaretta’s compassionate and joyful spirit lives on through her extended family, including a cherished circle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, godchildren, and other family members who were deeply intertwined in the fabric of her life. Margaretta’s life was a beautiful reflection of the love and care she had for her family. Her legacy is one of selfless love and devotion to family. As we remember her, we are reminded of the strength and comfort that family brings into our lives.

We warmly invite friends, family, and all those whose lives were touched by Margaretta McNelis to join us in celebrating her life. The viewing and funeral services will take place on January 3, 2024, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, located at 325 S Oxford Valley Rd, Fairless Hills, PA. The viewing is scheduled from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of remembrance at 9:30 AM.

In recognition of Margaretta’s lifelong commitment to her family, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association are encouraged.
