Karen Elizabeth Smyth

Karen Elizabeth Smyth, formerly of the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, passed away on March 27th, 2022, at age 53. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Rita Smyth (Gallagher).   Loving mother of Kyle Livezey, devoted grandmother of Dylan Livezey and Damian Livezey. Sadly missed by her siblings, Kathleen Reilley (Alan), Susan Smyth (Dan), Thomas Smyth (Kathleen), Stephen Smyth (Nancy), Veronica Snyder (Jim), Paul Smyth (Patricia) and Sheila Quinn (Steve). Best friend of Gabe Gallagher. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by her nephew, Michael Brown. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation and funeral on Wednesday, April 6th from 9:00am – 10:00am in St. Dominic RC Church, 8504 Frankford Ave. There will be a funeral mass at 10:00am with burial to follow in St. Dominic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen’s memory may  be made to the Abramson Cancer Center or jefferson.edu/give  and indicate that gifts should be made to support Frontotemporal Degeneration Research in Karen Smyth’s memory.
