Joyce Eleanor Schriver (1941-2026) 

Joyce Eleanor Schriver, 84, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on March 1, 2026. 

Joyce was born in Philadelphia in 1941 to John Schrieber and Eleanor née Weightman. She graduated from Mastbaum in 1959. Although Joyce was an only child, she found the best friends in life: Tommy and Peggy Metz, Jack and Kay West, and her cousin Karen Payne. Joyce was a hard worker in the restaurant industry, she was a devoted daughter, and wife. In her retirement years, Joyce could be found entertaining her family at her trailer in NJ. 

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald Schriver, her sons Jerry Schriver (Debra née Boyle) and Keith Schriver. 

Joyce was a devoted mother and is survived by her daughter Suzanne Derkotch and her late husband Anthony Derkotch as well as her fiancé Bruce Meskill, and her sons David Schriver (Charlene née Follin) and Joel Schriver (Patricia née McPeak). 

Joyce was known by her grandchildren for Mom Mom’s amazing pancakes, and “the look”. Joyce has 8 grandchildren: Dana, Alex, Anthony, Lindsey, Julia, Joel, Dylan, and Olivia. Joyce enjoyed seeing her 8 great grandchildren and listening to stories of their days. 

Joyce will be forever remembered for her family dinners and will be forever missed.

In keeping with Joyce’s wishes, there will be no services.
