⸻ My brother Marty will be laid to rest today—a gentle soul with a tender heart, a humble man. A man who loved his family and friends, his Phillies and Eagles. He dearly missed his brother Ed who went to the Lord before him, and also a few close friends. He will be missed by his two dedicated sisters and family, his loving daughter and family, and also missed by his son and wife. Marty’s memory will live in all of us who knew his quiet kindness and steady love. He will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved and now with his mother, brothers and sister. Rest in Peace Brother!

Met Marty in the 60’s in Fishtown. We lived on the same block and became fast friends. We hung out at Ulmers, where we played halfies, ate junk food, talked about everything under the sun and got yelled at by Fat Joe. We were kind of mischievous and enjoyed jumping roofs, storage tanks and bombing people with snowballs. Reese was always kind, gentle and rarely got angry. He was a big part of my life growing up and I’m very sad that he’s passed. I send my condolences to Dottie and Sheila and will pray for peace for them.

Met Marty "Reese" at Immaculate Conception in the 60's when we went there. Life long friend, we grew up playing football, hockey and baseball together. We all hung out on Columbia Ave where the Fitzgerald's lived. So many stories. Marty was quiet and thoughtful, and always laughed at my stupid jokes. I wish we could've spent more time together, but life gets in the way. I'll miss you Mart, say hi to all of our friends who'll meet you in heaven now.

Marty was such a good guy - he was reliable during his time working at St Bart's, he was a strong figure in the neighborhood and was a wonderful father. We all could use more like Marty in this world.

In Loving Memory of My Dad There are no perfect words to describe how heartbroken I am. My dad was quiet, humble, and a good man in every sense of the word. He was steady, strong, kind, and full of great dad jokes he always knew how to make me laugh. I’ll miss all the stories he would tell me when he was a kid. I loved him deeply more than words could ever fully express and that love doesn’t fade just because he’s gone. It lives on in the stories we tell, the memories we hold, and the laughs we shared.Losing him hurts in ways I can’t put into words. I’ll miss him every day. But I find comfort knowing he’ll always be with me in my heart, in my thoughts, and in the person I continue striving to be.I love you, Dad. I always will. Thank you for everything.

  1. I remember one year it was Father’s Day and we gave him a Dad Cup you might think we gave him a Million Dollars. He was a very humble man. I know he is in Heaven.
