John William Newbert, of the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, sadly passed away March 29, 2024, at the age of 85. John was a dedicated Philadelphia police officer for over 20 years. He was a United States Army Veteran, who proudly served his country. Loving father of John Newbert Jr. (Maryann), Michael Newbert (Stephanie), Kevin Newbert (Lori) and Joseph Newbert (Mary Kay). Beloved PoPop of Jaclynn, Michelle, Michael Jr., Rachel, Lindsey, Kevin, Ryan, Julia, Nicholas and James. Great-grandfather of Kinsley, Anthony, Jackson and Sophia. Brother of Carol, Patricia and Linda. Longtime companion of 35 years to Donna. Former spouse of Nancy. All are invited to John’s visitation and memorial on Monday April 8th at St. Timothy’s R.C.
