John H. Brandt

John H. Brandt, of the Mayfair section in Philadelphia, passed away peacefully in his home on May 23, 2023, surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 92. Beloved son of the late Pearl Edna (Bagenstose) and John Henry Brandt and sister Jane L. (Mihok). Beloved husband of Christine M. (nee Macry). Loving father of Darlene Maria Criniti (Vincenzo). Devoted grandfather of Cristos and Nikos and loving Uncle of Cheri and David. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Carrie Gerasklis and brother-in-law Gus Macry (Lorraine) as well as many nieces and nephews. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, on the USS Strong, receiving the National Defense and China Service Ribbons, along with the Korean Service And United Nations Medals. He worked in the Telecommunications Industry, as a Systems Technician. A special thank you to Vitas Hospice who cared and supported our family with love and kindness over the past 2 years. Interment with military honors will be held on Tuesday June 6th in Washington Crossing National Cemetery (830 Highland Rd. Newtown PA 18940) at 9:30AM. Please arrive at the cemetery office 15 minutes prior to the interment time. A memorial service for John will be held that same day in Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia (13500 Philmont Ave. Phila PA 19116) at 12:00 noon until 1:00PM.
