Joan C. Fleming

Joan C. Fleming, a resident of New Hope, PA, died peacefully in her sleep on September 30, 2025, at the age of 95 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, PA.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Joanne C. Rothwell; her son-in-law, Timothy G. Rothwell; her grandchildren; Margot Fleming, Tiffany Hendry, Connor Fleming and Heather Rothwell-Termotto; and her three great grandchildren; Grace Termotto, Brooklyn Hendry, and Jackson Hendry.

Joan was born in Bloomfield, NJ, on November 18, 1929. She married the love of her life, the late Joseph C. Fleming, and had two children who were the most important part of her life: Joanne C. Rothwell and the late Thomas J. Fleming.

Joan, also known as “Mimi” to many, was a very caring soul with a warm & wonderful disposition who loved animals dearly, specifically birds, as she volunteered at the Bloomfield Animal Shelter for years. In addition, Joan was a spiritual woman and volunteered time at the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on the Green & Thrift Shop in Bloomfield, NJ, for years. Joan moved to New Hope, PA, about 20 years ago to be closer to her daughter.

She enjoyed sewing, spending time with her family, specifically her daughter & son-in-law, son, grandchildren & great grandchildren, driving her Subaru around, traveling with her daughter & son-in-law, the beach, and shopping with her daughter. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was extremely young at heart.

Joan will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her. A private service will be scheduled for family members only.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The SDHB Coalition, Inc., which is an organization that is very near & dear to Joan’s heart as her granddaughter, Heather, battles this very rare & dangerous disease.

Donations can be made via the website: https://sdhbcoalition.org/
