James J. Dutill, of Philadelphia, PA, born on August 13, 1930, sadly passed away September 20, 2023, at the age of 93. James retired from the SKF manufacturing company after being a dedicated worker for several decades. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. James will be remembered for his stories that he loved to tell and always being the life of the party at family gatherings. Beloved husband of the late Doris Dutill and the late Rita Dutill. Loving father of James Jr. (Betty), Michael, Dave, Robert (Brittany) and Eileen (Anibal). Cherished grandfather of Craig (Megan), Kelly (Jim), Jim, Brian, Matthew, Callen, Jack and Bella and great-grandfather of John, Maura and Marleigh. Beloved brother of Ray (Mary) as well as the late Margaret Gibson and John Dutill. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. All are invited to gather, remember and celebrate James’ life on Wednesday September 27th at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19135 (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) You may visit James’ family during his visitation from 9:30am-11:00am. There will be a prayer service in the funeral home at 11:00am. Interment will be at a later date.
