Ida Donohue, a resident of Oakwood Nursing & Rehab, passed away on January 21, 2024. Beloved wife of the late, Thomas Donohue. She is survived by her son, many friends and fellow residents where she resided. All are invited to attend an honor and fellowship dinner on Sunday, Feb 4th at the Tiffany Diner ( 9010 Roosevelt Blvd. Phila., Pa 19115) at 2pm. She was loved by many, lived an active life even while at the nursing home, where Ida involved herself in many of the activities there. She was often reprimanded for her love of sweets; she would sneak them in her room against medical advice! Ida didn’t want to burden anyone but didn’t want to die. A trusted friend told her Thursday, that it was ok for her to step out of this broken body and begin to live again in the next life. It is thought that Ida took that to heart. She loved seafood and traveling to the shore to parade the boardwalk. She wasn’t much of a gambler but she sure tried her luck at the casinos. Rest In Peace Ida, you will be missed.
