It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Gina Rose Sigal (nee Friel) of Philadelphia, Pa. who was 59 years old. Gina was born July 10, 1965, and passed away on August 20, 2024. Gina will be remembered as a loving and caring wife and best friend to her husband, Barry Sigal of 34 years, and a loving and proud mother to her daughter Asia Sigal. She will also be remembered fondly by her brother Vincent J Friel and his wife Lindsey, sister Nicole Friel, her Aunt Susan, her cousin Krystle and her family, Aunt Pat Jackson and her family, and her many friends.

Gina was a graduate of Frankford HS and Hussein School of Fine Arts. She worked as a graphic artist with the Philadelphia Police Department and the Free Library of Philadelphia.

Gina had been living and fighting her MS for the last 22 years. The family is asking that any donations in her memory should be made to the National MS Society

My deepest condolences to Gina's family. She and I graduated together at Hussian School of Art. It's heartbreaking to lose someone so young to MS. I’ll always remember Gina’s infectious laughter that echoed through the hallways and her warm, radiant smile. She had such a feeling-oriented personality that made it a joy to be around her. I recall her spending time with her close group of friends in our tiny library at Hussian—her presence always filled the space with laughter.
