Frank J. Menarde Jr., went home to be with the Lord and loved ones who went before him, on March 10, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia on March 13, 1931 to the late Frank and Helen Menarde. We were saddened to lose him just three days before his 93rd birthday. He is survived by his four children, Glenn Menarde, Kim Kuklinski (Vince), Diane Livezey and Wayne Menarde (Laura). Frank will be missed by his 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years Alyce, his son John, his brother David and his sister Ellen. Frank owned his own auto body shop for years before he realized his real love was horseracing. He became an owner/trainer of thoroughbred race horses, where he went on to win over 200 races. Some of his happiest times were when family gathered together to enjoy a delicious home cooked meal. He loved company and was a very social man. He had a real passion for music especially The Ink Spots, Clarence “Frogman” Henry and the Mills Brothers. He will be greatly missed as he was one of a kind. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday March 15, 2024 from 12:30pm to 2:00pm at McCafferty Funeral and Cremation, 6711 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19135. (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) Prayer service to follow at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests you make a donation to your favorite charity.
