Eugenia Lorenzo

Eugenia Lorenzo, affectionately know as (Geni), was born on November 15, 1933 in Rincón, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of Fermin and Conchita Lorenzo. She is survived by three of her six siblings, Fermin (Junior), Flor Maria, and Gilberto. She moved to the United States in 1951 where she raised her three children: Gilbert Orsini (Margarita), Luis Vega and Nancy Vega. She had five grandchildren, Gilbert “Tony” Orsini, (Carol), Diana Shead (James), Pablo (Stella) Orsini, Priscilla Vega and Natasha Serrano. Great-grandchildren: Derlin Jr. Gonzalez, Annalis Gonzalez, Isabella Sophia Ramos, Gilbert A. Orsini Jr., Juliana Shead, Jesenia Shead, Sofia Orsini and Camila Orsini. Gini enjoyed partying, traveling, cruising, playing dominoes and cooking. She liked all kinds of music and love to dance. She was an industrious person and worked hard to provide for her children. After her children finished high school, she decided to go back to school. She successfully earned her high school diploma (GED). She then began her career as an interpreter with the Pennsylvania Department of Public Assistance. She was respected by her colleagues and received many awards and commendations. Her clients looked for her because they could see that she truly cared for them. After retiring, she spent her days gardening, traveling, cruising, playing dominoes and cooking. She liked all kinds of music and she loved to dance. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember and celebrate Eugenia’s life on Friday December 23rd at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19135 (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) You may visit and comfort Eugenia’s life from 9:30AM-11:00AM. There will be a words of remembrance service with eulogies at 11:00AM. Please keep her family in your prayers.
