Honoring the Life of Egypt Queen Pure Justice Julia Weir Awsome
Karen Julia Weir was born April 16th , 1973, to her parents Larry Weir and Janice Walker, joining a sister, Delys Weir. Karen was born and lived on the island of Barbados for the vast majority of her childhood. There she attended St. Paul’s Primary School and The Baystreet School until the migration of her family to The United States of America in March, 1987. The family of four entered the U.S. in hopes of a new way of life. In spite of obstacles along the way Karen went on to graduate from Beach Channel High School in Rockaway Park, NY in 1992. In December of 1994, Karen welcomed her first and only daughter Angelica, followed by 3 sons Denzel, Darren, and Joshua. In July 2019, Karen became a naturalized citizen of The U.S.A. legally changing her name to Egypt Queen Pure Justice Julia Weir Awsome. A name she felt was more fitting for the journey she was getting ready to take. Egypt had a very close and personal relationship with her Lord and Saviour; and on February 6th, 2024 God called her home to a place of serenity, a place of everlasting love. Egypt leaves behind both parents Larry Weir and Janice Walker, four children Angelica Weir, Denzel Weir, Darren Greene, and Joshua Greene- Weir; three grandchildren Chloe, Prince, and Reign; sister Delys Weir; several aunts, Judy, Sonia, Ethel, Avis, Rhonda, Cheryl, Yvette, Patsy, uncles Eskin, Merville, and Andrew; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Great Grandparents, Uncle Edmund Weir, and granddaughter Kylie Weir. Egypt will join our loved ones and continue to watch over us all in eternal peace. All are invited to Karen’s viewing and funeral Monday February 19th at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19135 (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) from 12:00pm-12:30pm.
