Edward F. Cox, of Philadelphia, PA, peacefully passed away, November 28, 2023, at the age of 83. Ed was a dedicated teacher for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for several decades and a long time member of Quaker City String Band. Loving husband of 56 years to Joanne Cox. Beloved father of Edward Cox (Christina), Tricia Cox and John Cox (Jennifer). Cherished Pop to Megan, Emily, Jeremy, John, Madeline, Katherine and Carolyn. Brother of the late John Cox, Kathryn Sweeney, Thomas Cox, Anna Ruchalski and Margaret Dunn. He will be missed by his buddy, Chloe. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. All are invited to Ed’s visitation and funeral on Monday December 4th at St. Bernard R.C. Church (7341 Cottage St, Philadelphia, PA 19136) from 9:30am-11:00am. Funeral mass to follow at 11:00am.
