Dorothy passed away sleeping comfortably at Deer Meadows Retirement Home. Dorothy is survived by her children, Rusling Slawter, (Joann Dougherty); Donna Slawter; Kim Slawter, (Brandon Famous); George Slawter; her sister, Marion, (Joseph L. Wesley); 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; former spouse, Rusling V. Slawter; and dozens of family and friends she touched over her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Beam and Marion Adelaid Beam (nee Yeager). Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Slawter will be held on Tuesday, December 19, at McCafferty Funeral Home 6711 Frankford Ave. (between Unruh & Knorr Sts) from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. There will be a prayer service at 11:00 a.m.
