Doris Sanchez

Doris Sanchez, of the Olney section of Philadelphia, sadly passed away December 6, 2022 at the age of 81. Daughter of the late Pureza Giraldo. Loving wife of Fernando Sanchez. Beloved mother of Joanne Castano, Peggy Sanchez and Johnny Sanchez. Cherished grandmother of Angela Blanco, Nelson Vazquez Jr., Breanna Sanchez, Zackary Platt, John Isaac Cardorzo and Elijah Vazquez. Cherished great-grandmother of Emma Melendez, Adrian Melendez, Mi’lah Celine Vazquez and one great-grandchild on the way, Amarely Alicea Blanco. Sister of Blanca Giaconne and Adolfo Castano as well several late siblings. Doris is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be missed by her beloved dog, Thelma. You may visit and comfort Doris’ family during her viewing from 9:30AM-10:30AM. There will be a prayer service in the funeral home at 10:30AM. Burial to follow in Greenmount Cemetery.
