Carlos Alberto Giraldo Montes, from Northeast Philadelphia, born and raised in Manizales, Colombia, went to heaven on February 13, 2024, at the age 58. He came to this country in hopes of providing a better life for his family. Carlos was a hard working man, worked day and night. He was well respected and loved by others. Carlos would often say his reason for living was his grandchildren. He would alway refer to them as his “ world, and everything.” His presence will be greatly missed. Beloved husband of Mary Luz Martinez Loiza. Loving father of Mikaela Giraldo Martinez and Luis Felipe. Devoted grandfather of Nyla Penelope, Liam, Mateo, Emely and Thomas. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing and funeral on Tuesday, February 20, from 9:30am – 11:00am at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. There will be a prayer service at 11:00am. Further arrangements will be held in private by his family. Carlos will be laid to rest in his homeland, Colombia.
