Shared Memories

In loving memory Barbara Lynn Hosey December 11, 1966 – May 28, 2024

Today is full of memories of a sister laid to rest. With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Barbara Lynn Hosey (Barb)

On May 28, 2024, Barbara unexpectedly passed away at her home in Philadelphia at the age of 57.

She was born at Philadelphia General Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 11, 1966.

Barbara was a beautiful person inside and out. She had a big heart full of kindness always caring for others in need. She loved laughter and always told a good story or a really bad joke. She loved movies, you could always catch her glued to a TV screen, binge watching old Classics or catching up on a new Netflix series. She enjoyed music and loved cooking, which she did very well, but her true passion was her love for animals.

Barb is survived by her siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends

Her passing was an unexpected tragedy, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all that love and cherish her.

All are invited to Barbara’s visitation and funeral Tuesday July 2nd at McCafferty Funeral & Cremation Inc. 6711 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19135 (between Unruh & Knorr Sts.) from 12:00 pm- 1:00 pm. There will be a words of remembrance service with eulogies at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Further arrangements will be held by her family.
