Paul “Paulie” Nicholas Cantando, passed too quickly on May 4, 2023. He was a devoted son, loving husband, father and caring friend. He was a sentimental romantic who took pleasure in showing up with flowers or a greeting card, just because. He enjoyed reminiscing with family and friends, spending hours over old pictures or recounting stories from childhood. All who knew him would describe him as a “Good Guy”. From an early age, he was an avid hockey fan. He loved playing ice hockey with school buddies and cheering on the Flyers whenever he could. He had a passion for Mopar and for quality music; he was a bit of an audiophile; traits he picked up from his older brothers for sure. Recently, he started appreciating the finer nuances of WWE, sharing in the excitement with new friends. His inner circle, by all accounts, had nothing in common with each other except for their genuine love for Paul. Their collective enriched his life with new adventures and new surroundings and a new outlook on life. They helped him be a better version of himself and he loved them in return. Those who knew him best will remember his welcoming eyes, his bright smile and his sheepish grin and chuckle to himself whenever he was up to no good. Paul is survived by his children, Gerard, Serena and the late Troy, step-children Thomas Tompkins (Kelly Hannon) and John Alford; his brothers David (Carol), Gary and sister Carolane Perretti (Joseph); along with many loving extended family members and friends. Services will be private with a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers you may donate to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at https://www.jdrf.org/donate/.
